Lettuce Soup

8 oz Hard outerleaves of lettuce
hand full of pea pods or peas
1 onion
1 garlic clove
1 L vegetable stock
1 tbsp plain flour
oil to fry
cream or milk (optional)

fry onion and garlic when golden brown, add lettuce and peapods, fry for a few minutes.
Add flour and mix well then add stock and let simmer for 20 minutes.
Put through mouli or sieve

Serve with some cream
